Generosity in Action at Brightmore

At Brightmore of South Charlotte, giving back is more than a program. It is part of who we are.
Many residents arrive with a lifelong commitment to service and philanthropy, and they
continue that meaningful work within a community that actively supports generosity and
purpose.

Residents regularly organize food drives benefiting shelters across the Charlotte area, with
Nourish Up as a valued partner. One of our most beloved initiatives is Busy Bees, a resident led
group that gathers weekly to visit, connect, and create. Together, they craft 100 to 200 hats
each month, donating them to those in need.

The spirit of service extends throughout the community, including residents of assisted living at
The Terrace at Brightmore. Recently, residents led an initiative to fill boxes for Samaritan’s
Purse’s Operation Christmas Child Program, spreading joy far beyond our campus.
These efforts foster connection, purpose, and shared pride, proving that at Brightmore, a life of
giving continues to thrive.
