From the Beginning Built for the Future
As Brightmore of South Charlotte celebrated its 11th anniversary this year, it also marked a milestone in leadership.
After serving as Executive Director since the community opened its doors, Tracey Sloop retired, leaving behind not only a remarkable legacy but also a leadership team she helped develop.
Three longtime team members have stepped into expanded roles. Julie Varnadore, formerly Assisted Living Administrator and Director of Resident Care, is now Campus Director. Evin Whittle, who joined Brightmore as Wellness Director, has been promoted to Executive Director of Independent Living. Anna Jordan started with Brightmore as Life Enrichment Director followed by Marketing Associate, Director of Sales and Marketing for independent living, and is now Campus Director of Sales and Marketing.
Each has been with the community since its earliest days and credits Tracey’s mentorship, guidance, and confidence in their abilities for preparing them to lead Brightmore into its next chapter.
